Who we are
Lightmorphic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17423646), registered office 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, is the data controller for this site.
For anything in this notice, including a request to see, correct or delete your data, write to privacy@lightmorphic.com.
What we collect when you run a scan
The domain you typed, and the report produced from it. The report is kept in a short-lived cache so that scanning the same domain again does not hit that site a second time needlessly.
Your IP address is never written to our application storage in a readable form. It is turned into an irreversible hash before it touches disk, and the hash exists only to count how many scans have come from one visitor that day. Those daily counter files are deleted after two days.
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, as any web server does. They are used to keep the service running and to spot abuse, and they rotate automatically.
If you ask us to email you a report
The address you type is used to send you that one report. We do not add it to a mailing list unless you tick the newsletter box, which is off by default.
If you do tick it, the address is passed to Lightmorphic's own newsletter system, which is run by us on our own servers. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at privacy@lightmorphic.com.
What we do not do
No cookies on the public site. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers, no profiling and no automated decisions about you. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
The site loads one script from another Lightmorphic address (apps.lightmorphic.com) to draw the menu of our other apps. It sets nothing and reports nothing back about you.
Why we are allowed to do this
Running the scan you asked for, and emailing you the report you asked for, are done to perform the service you requested. Hashed scan counts and server logs are kept because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service available and stopping abuse. The newsletter is consent, given by ticking the box, and withdrawn whenever you like.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it. Write to privacy@lightmorphic.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
